These are not your average Rhode Island Reds. Our Exhibition Quality Line represents over five decades of dedicated, selective breeding—a living legacy of the legendary Grand Master Exhibitor Lloyd Flanagan.

This particular line descends directly from Mr. Flanagan’s program—55 years of uncompromising standards, refined until his retirement in 2001, and carefully continued by the breeders who acquired his original bloodline. In 2001, Mr. Flanagan was inducted into the Rhode Island Red Club Hall of Fame, a fitting tribute to his lifelong contribution to preserving and perfecting this iconic American breed.

When we say selective breeding, we mean it. Only 1 out of every 20 chicks hatched may qualify to continue in our program. Each bird is evaluated for type, color, vigor, and temperament. The result? Our Exhibition Line Rhode Island Reds are part of a highly selective breeding program, and we only release a limited number throughout the year. Because we carefully evaluate each bird for quality and breeding potential, availability is limited and not often posted for public sale.

These birds are ideal for youth exhibitors, FFA/4-H projects, and aspiring show breeders interested in competing at local or state fairs. We raise this line year-round and typically release a small number of birds around 4 to 5 months of age.

While the individual birds offered may not be guaranteed show-ready, they come from a long-proven line capable of producing top-tier offspring with the right care and selective breeding.
