Black Sex Link, Black & Gold Stars, Black stars, also known as “Rock Reds,” are one of the classic hybrid chicken lines developed for dependable egg production and balanced temperament. Created by crossing breeds such as Barred Plymouth Rock, Black Australorp, and New Hampshire Red, these birds are known for both their productivity and their hardy nature.
